General military knowledge and MOS skills required to function as a Squad Leader in support of the Air Land Battle. 2ND CLASS SWIMMER TEST To provide U.S. Navy personnel who already possess good swimming skills with the opportunity to become certified second class swimmers IAW NAVMILPERSMAN ART. 6610120, American Red Cross guidelines and OPNAVINST 3120.32 Series. 360 OPNS RESEARCH - MS This curriculum provides education in the application of quantitative analyses to operational, tactical, and managerial problems. The disciplines of mathematics, probability, statistics, economics, human factors, physical science, and optimization are first learned. These supply the theoretical background for analyzing alternative choices in tactical and strategic warfare and in planning, budgeting and procurement of systems and forces. Graduates will be prepared to develop the requirements, strategy, and doctrine for acquiring, planning, managing, analyzing and exploiting current and future space systems. 368 COMPUTER SCIENCE - MS This program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to specify, evaluate, and manage the design of computer systems; provide technical guidance in applications ranging from basic data processing to sophisticated tactical systems; educate the officer in the analysis and design methodologies appropriate to an understanding of the hardware and software components of complex computer systems; and provide the capability to utilize the modern computer laboratory in the application of computer techniques to research current military problems. 370 INFO SYS TECHNOLOGY-MS This program will provide the graduate with the knowledge of information systems technology to include computer and telecommunications systems, software engineering, networking and distributed applications, database management systems, decision support and expert systems in the military services. The graduate will also gain proficiency in information systems, economics and management necessary for the critical management decisions needed in the development and utilization of complex and evolving computer-based military systems. Upon successful completion of all coursework and thesis requirements, the degree Master of Science in Information Technology Management is awarded. 373 AIR-OCEAN SCIENCES-MS This curriculum is interdisciplinary in nature and encompasses those areas of oceanography and meteorology, which are directly related to environmental support of naval operations. Classroom instruction is supplemented by laboratory exercises both ashore and afloat. 374 OP OCEANOGRAPHY - MS This curriculum is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the air-sea environment and operations analysis principles needed to forecast atmospheric, oceanic, and acoustic conditions in support of all aspects of Naval operations including the ASW, EW and C3 problems. Primary emphasis is placed on the understanding of the impact of the environment (atmosphere, ocean, and their interface) on weapons systems, sensors, and platforms. 380 APPLIED MATHEMATICS-MS This curriculum is open to students with a strong mathematics background. It includes topics such as integral transforms and numerical analysis and requires a sequence of applications courses from outside the mathematics department. The Master of Science in Mathematics degree is awarded upon successful completion of the program. 399 MODEL VIR ENVIRON - MS The MOVES Curriculum was developed in response for an interdisciplinary graduate education program beyond that available through the Computer Science Curriculum�s Computer Graphics and Visual Simulation track. The MOVES Curriculum provides the M.S. and Ph.D. student both fundamental and specialized courses in applied computer simulation technology and the application of quantitative analyses to human-computer interaction in simulation technology. The M.S. program is a two year, eight quarter program whose core covers the fundamentals of computer science, visual simulation and human-computer interaction. Specific topics include object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, software methodology, computer communications and networks, computer graphics, virtual worlds and simulation systems, physically based modeling, probability, statistics, stochastic modeling, data analysis, and human performance evaluation. 440 OCEANOGRAPHY - MS This curriculum is designed to provide students with a sound understanding of the science of oceanography, and to develop the technical expertise to provide and utilize oceanographic and acoustical data in support of all aspects of military operations. Particular emphasis is placed on the understanding of oceanographic environmental effects on the solution of the undersea warfare problem. 460 ENGINEERING SCIENCE This is a sequence of courses developed by the curricular officer and the academic associate to better prepare incoming students for entering a technical curriculum. The Engineering Science curriculum is designed to prospective students who: 1) have an APC which indicates a deficiency in mathematics and/or scientific and technical subject matter; or 2) in completing their review of the prospective student�s academic record, the curricular officer and academic associate have concluded that sufficient time has expired since the student�s most recent college experience and as such, the student would benefit from the Engineering Science Program. 490T-1 ANTENNA CPLR IM Purpose: Upon completion of this course, Avionics Technicians will have sufficient knowledge/theory of the 490T-1/1A/9 Antenna Coupler, including system analysis and troubleshooting techniques, to perform under close supervision intermediate maintenance in the intermediate maintenance working environment. 4PI ASSEMBLER LANG **FTD Refresher/upgrade training for a specific weapon system. 50CAL MACHGUN M2HB OP/MAIN To provide naval personnel in all ratings, E1 through E9, with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to operate and maintain the Browning .50 Caliber M2 HB machine gun at the organizational level of maintenance. 526 UNDERSEA WARFARE INTL The Undersea Warfare curriculum educates officers in the engineering fundamentals, physical principles, and analytical concepts that govern operational employment of undersea warfare (USW) sensors and weapons systems and includes extensive breadth in the appropriate scientific and technical disciplines. This interdisciplinary program integrates mathematics, physics, acoustics, electrical engineering, oceanography, operations analysis, computer science, and meteorology. The academic content divides naturally into four major areas with the opportunity to specialize in one while pursuing the USW major: Applied Physics with emphasis on underwater acoustics and weapons, Physical Oceanography with emphasis on environmental factors affecting sonic and radiative surveillance, Electrical Engineering with emphasis on signal processing, and Operations Analysis with emphasis on tactical applications and decision analysis. 533 CMBSYS SCI/TEC-MS INTL This program is designed to meet the needs of the military services for an officer having a broad-based advanced technical education applicable to combat systems design, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, operation, and support. Included in the core are courses on electromagnetic radiation, signal processing, optoelectronics, servo and computer control systems, explosives and warheads, engineering materials, combat simulation, quantum detection devices, and computers for advanced combat systems. Additionally, the officer will take a sequence of five or more courses in one of the following concentration areas: electromagnetic sensors systems, underwater acoustic systems, or an engineering area related combat systems. The officer will also conduct thesis research on a specific technical problem. The curriculum includes survey courses in the areas not covered by the officer�s concentration. 535 UNDWTR ACOUSTICS - MS Underwater Acoustics Systems is an interdisciplinary program, which consists of courses in physics and electrical engineering. Based on fundamental science and engineering, the emphasis is on underwater acoustics and signal processing applied to undersea warfare. Subjects covered include the generation, propagation, and reception of sound in the ocean; military applications of underwater sound; and acoustic signal processing. 54H60-77 PROP I/MAINT Purpose: Upon completion of this course, Aviation Machinist Mates will have sufficient knowledge and the skills necessary to perform, under close supervision, intermediate maintenance on the 54H60-77 Propeller, and Propeller Control, including cleaning, assembly, disassembly, inspection, minor repair, testing, and troubleshooting using applicable NAVAIR Publications and safety procedures, while assigned to Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department working environment. 54H60-91 PROP TECH C130FTD Refresher/upgrade training for a specific weapon system. 570 MECHANICAL ENGRG - MS The graduate will have the technical competence to operate and maintain modern warships and naval systems. Through emphasis on the design aspect within the program, the graduate will be well prepared to apply technological advances to the warships of the future. Successful completion of this program results in the award of a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. 590 ELECTRICAL ENGRG - PHD This curriculum is designed to educate officers in current electronics technology and its application to modern naval warfare. It establishes a broad background of basic engineering knowledge, leading to selected advanced studies in electronic systems, ship/weapon control systems, and communication/information processing applicability. Successful completion of this curriculum meets all requirements for a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. 590 ELECTRNIC SYS ENGRG-MS This curriculum is designed to educate officers in current electronics technology and its application to modern naval warfare. It establishes a broad background of basic engineering knowledge, leading to selected advanced studies in electronic systems, ship/weapon control systems, and communication/information processing applicability. Successful completion of this curriculum meets all requirements for the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Engineer�s and Ph.D. programs are available. 596 EW FOR FGN MIL OFFICRS This program is designed to provide knowledge of technical and operational aspects of the role of Electronic Warfare (EW) as a vital, integral part of modern warfare; educate officers in pertinent aspects of physics, environmental conditions, operations analysis and other disciplines; provide a broad understanding of EW systems and techniques; provide an appreciation of the vulnerabilities of these systems to exploitation and countermeasures; develop analytical ability to correctly assess the capabilities and proper employment of EW systems in a threat environment; provide an understanding of the principles underlying the broad field of electronic warfare; and to develop an ability to describe technological factors in terms which are meaningful and supportive in an operational tactical situation. The program is designed for military officers (0-3 to 0-5) and equivalent civilian officials. The program places a special emphasis on the civil-military relations issues raised by participation in U.N.-sponsored peacekeeping operations, participation in coalition warfare, and membership in the Partnership for Peace, NATO, and other alliances. 815 ACQUIS/CONTR MGMT - MS This is an interdisciplinary program, which integrates mathematics, accounting, economics, finance, behavioral science, management theory, operations/systems analysis and specific courses in acquisition and contracting. The curriculum is designed to provide officers and civilians with the skills to serve effectively in hardware systems buying offices, field contracting offices, contract administration offices and contracting policy offices. 816 SYSTEM ACQUIS MGMT -MS This is an interdisciplinary program designed to integrate business principles, management theory, operations/systems analysis, and engineering applications. It is uniquely tailored to Defense acquisition management and intensive exposure to the fundamental principles of the acquisition environment. The courses in this curriculum present the structure of acquisition management, the decisions and problems facing the defense acquisition manager, the various forces at work within industry and Government, and the impact of acquisition policies and strategies. 818 SYSTEMS MGMT INTL - MS These curricula are designed to provide the specific functional skills required to effectively manage in a subspecialty area; provide graduate management education oriented to Navy/ Defense Systems; enable the student to evaluate the written research, study, and analyze products of others; and provide fundamental interdisciplinary techniques of quantitative problem-solving methods, behavioral and management science, economic analysis, information systems, and financial management. 819 SYS INVENTORY MGT - MS This curriculum emphasizes the management of Navy owned inventories at all levels. Students take additional courses in general inventory model development and the specific details of the Navy�s inventory models, spanning the three levels of wholesale, intermediate and retail customer support. Officers are responsible for developing procedures for establishing, maintaining and controlling inventories of material, distributing that material to the Navy customer, and developing the budgets for financing these inventories. The Systems Inventory Management curriculum is interdisciplinary, integrating mathematics, accounting, economics, management theory, operations analysis and the specialty concentration into an understanding of the process by which the defense mission is accomplished. 820 RESOURCE MGT INTDEF-MS This is an interdisciplinary program designed exclusively for officers and civilian employees in defense agencies of other countries. The program focuses on economic analysis, the management of financial, material, and human resources, domestic and international political institutions, civil-military relations, and the role of international law. The curriculum is made up of a combination of existing courses within the Systems Management and National Security Affairs departments and courses especially designed for this program. In the majority of courses, international students study and learn with U.S. students from several other management and national security affairs curricula. 827 MATL LOGISTICS SPT MGT This curriculum emphasizes all of the aspects for providing integrated logistics support of weapons systems. Besides study in mathematics, accounting, economics, behavioral science, management theory and operations analysis, the curriculum delves into production management, inventory management, integrated logistic support, procurement and contract administration, subsystems acquisition, and project management. Skills resulting from the curriculum will prepare those responsible for managing the various segments of a military system�s life cycle from initial planning for support to fielding the system, through sustaining operations to phaseout. 837 FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT The objective of the Financial Management Curriculum is to prepare officers for business and financial positions. Financial Managers assist the decision-making processes at all levels by providing accurate, timely and relevant information. They are concerned with the optimal allocation of human, physical and financial resources to achieve agency goals and objectives while assuring efficient and effective expenditure of public funds. Graduate courses cover topics such as financial reporting standards, cost standards, cost analysis, budgeting, internal control, auditing, management planning and control systems, quantitative technique used in planning and control, and the Planning Program and Budgeting System used within the Department of Defense. 847 MNPWR SYS ANALYSIS-MS Officers enrolled in the Manpower Systems Analysis (MSA) curriculum undertake the challenge of an academic program designed to fill the leadership roles in military manpower personnel and training management. Areas covered include an understanding of manpower, personnel, and training policy development, compensation systems, enlistment supply and retention models, manpower training models, manpower requirements determination processes, career mix, enlistment and reenlistment incentives, training effectiveness measures and hardware/manpower trade-offs. Students gain familiarity with current models and methods of manpower analysis as well as military manpower organizations and issues. A-37/J-85 ENGINE TECHN Course subjects include familiarization with the A-37 aircraft, design and construction features of the J-85-17A engine, engine systems, engine inspection procedures, field-level disassembly, inspection and re-assembly of the engine and accessories, engine removal and installation. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B ACFT HYDRAULIC TECH This course is for the experienced aircraft pneudraulics specialist who needs familiarization with the pneudraulics system of the A-37B aircraft. The scope of training includes A-37B technical orders, system functions and component locations, troubleshooting, inspections and repair procedures, and use of special and standard test equipment in flight line maintenance. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B ARMAMENT SYS TECHN This course is designed for the aircraft armament technician who needs familiarization and in-depth knowledge of inspection requirements pertaining to the A-37B aircraft armament system. Scope of training includes the use of A-37B armament technical orders to disassemble and assemble armament system components as well as maintenance inspections, troubleshooting and flight line maintenance with standard and special test equipment. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B EGRESS SYS TECHN This course teaches students the skills and knowledge needed to maintain the integrity of the A-37 unmodified and the A-37 modified (by TCTOS 1A-37B-547 and 1A-37B-550) egress system. Training will include explosive safety, familiarization of the egress system components, shelf and service life calculation of explosive CAD/PAD items, theory of operation, disarming and arming of the egress system, removal, inspection and installation of ejection seats, and egress system ballistic and non-ballistic components, inspection and functional check of the ejection control assemblies, inspection and maintenance of the aircraft canopy jettison system, and an egress system final inspection. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS This course is for the experience aircraft electrical specialist who needs familiarization with the electrical systems of the A-37B aircraft. The scope of the training includes the description, operation, location of electrical components, and operational checks of the electrical power supply system (generator, batteries, and inverters), warning and alarm systems, engine start, lighting (internal and external), landing gear and fuel and flight control systems. Included is training in the technical order system, inspection system, ground safety and cockpit entry on the A-37B. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B INSTRUMENT SYS This course provides Latin American air forces instrument specialists with the knowledge to perform effective maintenance on instrument systems of the A-37B aircraft. The student will learn ground safety precautions applicable to the A-37B, location of instrument systems components, flightline maintenance procedures for the engine instrument systems components, flight instrument systems, yaw damper and stall warning systems, compass systems, fuel quantity system and flap position indicating system. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A-37B JET ACFT TECHN For the jet aircraft mechanic with previous training and experience on aircraft models other than A-37. Basic mechanic fundamentals are not included in the course and personnel with less than one year of flight-line experience should not be scheduled for attendance. Course subjects include ground safety and technical orders applicable to the A-37B, aircraft familiarization, ground handling, servicing and lubrication, egress, electrical, instrument, and flight control system; hydraulic power, landing gear and wheel brake system, aircraft fuel system and engines. Practical training is presented on flight controls, jacking and gear retraction tests and engine operational checks. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A/C GENERATOR FAM* Provides over the shoulder/hands-on training. This training is scheduled after the student has completed the basic course of instruction. Training is normally two weeks in duration. A/C STRUCT RPR/CORR CONTR This course teaches students to repair, modify, and fabricate aircraft metal components and assemblies at the apprentice level. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A/M32-A86 ADV DIES (HOBART) This course teaches students the skills and knowledge needed to perform checks, service inspection, troubleshooting, advanced maintenance upkeep, tune-up and repair on the A/M32A-86 Hobart. Training is currently conducted in Spanish. A/S 32P19 FIRE TRUCK MAIN Maintenance of vehicle engine, power divider, transmission, axle assemblies, power steering, brakes, air system, dispensing system, halon system, turret systems, winterization system, electrical system, air-conditioning, and organizational maintenance of the A/S32P-19 firetruck. introduction to maintenance concepts, inspection and maintenance systems;

handtools, special electrical/test equipment, maintenance documentation,
forms, and equipment familiarization and use, soldering techniques,

control, safety as it applies to the AGE Air Force specialty code (AFSC),
career progression, security, hazardous materials and waste handling.

necessary training to perform checks, service inspection, troubleshooting,
general maintenance upkeep, and minor repair of powered support equipment,
in a safe and productive manner. Training is currently conducted in
Spanish. AEROSPACE MAINT APPR C135 Prerequisites: ECL 70. AEROSPACE MEDICINE PRIMARY Trains medical officers to perform duties as
flight surgeons and to accomplish the objectives of the USAF Aerospace
Medicine Program. Provides the student with the knowledge and skills
required for the treatment and proper administrative disposition of
aircrew members and for assuming the responsibilities of a general
preventive medical member of the bioenvironmental engineering,
occupational medicine, and military public health teams. Includes review
of the clinical medical topics important in aerospace medicine; i.e.,
otolaryngology, audiology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, neurology,
psychiatry, etc., with emphasis on particular applications of these
specialty areas in aerospace medicine; instruction and experience in the
physiology of altitude and acceleration; employment of survival/life
support principles and equipment; instruction in aircraft accident
investigation; the administrative requirements of aeromedical services and
in the application of physical standards to the patient population for
which the flight surgeon is responsible. Orientation to flying in a
current inventory trainer aircraft and training in the human centrifuge

lectures/discussions are coupled with individual and group presentations

I - Principles of Intelligence (63 hours) - Students will learn the
functions of an operational air intelligence organization to include:
establishing the requirements for security, discussing basic Air Force
missions within each unit, learning the intelligence process and the
intelligence structure or organization; and learning to conduct a wide
variety of intelligence briefings. Students will learn the framework of
establishing an operational intelligence office. Block II - Intelligence
Skills (55 hours) - Students will learn some basic computer skills
necessary to perform their intelligence duties. They will learn to
recognize aerospace, ground, naval, air defense weapon systems, and learn
to brief intelligence analysis from a variety of intelligence reports.
Numerous exercises using these skills will prepare them for various
intelligence tasks needed when conducting war scenarios. Block III - Maps,
Charts, Geodesy, Order of Battle (66 hours) This phase instructs the
students on order-of- battle preparation by discussing symbology and
having the students build complete order-of-battle displays. Students will
learn to analyze common general trends in order-of-battle tracking
essential in the support of intelligence operations. They will read and
plot geographic coordinates, geographic reference coordinates, an
universal transverse macerator coordinates. Exercises using coordinates,
distance and direction, universal mean time, and military symbology. Block
IV - Combat Intelligence Operations (92 hours) - In this phase they
discuss the duties and responsibilities of an intelligence officer to
include mission planning, targeting process, target analysis/
applications, penetration analysis, threat assessment, combat folder
preparations, survival evasion, resistance and escape, and search and
rescue in both peacetime and wartime. Specific combat briefings,
intelligence training and the intelligence estimate are conducted. The
final topic will be for students to organize themselves into a cohesive
intelligence unit performing their intelligence duties during a scenario
for a contingency exercise. They will use the order-of-battle material
previously generated and exercise messages from higher headquarters, thus
consolidating all the skills learned throughout the course. Training is

personnel in the duties, responsibilities, and skills required of Combat
Air Intercept Controllers, especially to: analyze and transmit to the

officers who are able to think strategically, critically, and

instruments. Seminars are composed of 5 to 18 students who meet regularly
at military installations and receive annual visits from members of the
Air War College faculty. Seminar members receive valuable experience in
conducting and participating in group activities in extemporaneous

AWC curriculum, and in oral presentations and written requirements.
Complete requirements in 1 year, 40-Sessions, with once-a-week seminars.

individual and group exercises in three subject areas. The "basic concept"
area includes presentations on the performance measurement baseline (PMB)
and the mechanisms for measuring performance to this baseline. The
"reports" area includes an indepth presentation of the formats and
performance data reflected on the CPR and C/SSR; a case exercise is
employed to give students practice in extracting meaningful information
from the performance measurement reports. The "measuring performance" area

of photos, art and text), newspaper page layout and design, digital

senior company grade officers, or senior NCOs (E-7 and above) who require

in the NAFs, AOCs, ABCCCs, ASOCs, ASGs, and Corps/Div TACPs; battle-staff
personnel in the CRCs/CRPs and AWACs; senior Tactical Air Command and

Reserve Forces bioenvironmental engineer with a 43E1 AFSC. Civilian

personnel to include clinical application, operation, inspection,
maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of medical equipment
systems used in peacetime and contingency medical treatment
facilities. BISS OPR (CERTIFY) Trains Air Force personnel in the knowledge and
skills necessary to perform duties as a BISS operator. Training includes
characteristics and limitations of sensors, Small Permanent Communications
and Display Segment (SPCDS), Perimeter Surveillance System-Closed Circuit
Television (PSSCCTV), and operation of SPCDS and PSSCCTV. Other areas of
training include BISS concept of operations, response force control, SPCDS
and PSSCCTV verification procedures, technical orders familiarity, and
deficiency reporting. Course graduates are certified BISS operators (SPCDS
and PSSCCTV) and are eligible for awarding of special experience
identifier 323. - BNCO-MEDICAL LAB SPEC(MLT) BOARDING OFFICER EIMET This course is designed to prepare Coast Guard
personnel for their role as the lead officer, that is, the Boarding
Officer in Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE) boardings. It provides a
foundation in legal concepts, but stresses "hands on" practical experience
through a series of mock boarding exercises. Topics of instruction include
Coast Guard authority and jurisdiction, use of force policy, including
unarmed defensive tactics, the use of impact weapons, the use of an
interactive shooting simulator, U.S. boating safety laws, criminal
statutes, arrest and prisoner control, proper identification of narcotics
identification kits through the use of a live drug lab, and boating while
intoxicated enforcement. Students are assigned to 4-person teams
distributing personnel rank, rate, and experience. Teamwork is strongly
emphasized throughout the entire course to foster the team approach to
problem solving. BOARDING TEAM MEMBER EIMET This course is designed to train Coast Guard
personnel assigned to law enforcement duties to perform the tasks of a
boarding team member by providing basic entry level skills. Topics covered
include documentation and equipment requirements for U.S. vessels, an
overview of Coast Guard authority and jurisdiction, the recognition of
possible violations of U.S. laws, search and seizure procedures, arrest
and prisoner control, proper use of the narcotics identification kit,
Coast Guard�s use of force policy, defensive tactics (i.e., unarmed
defense, handcuffing, and the use of impact weapons), and boarding
procedures and techniques. BOATSWAINS MATE A This course trains Coast Guard personnel in the
knowledge and skills required of a Third Class Boatswain Mate. It is
intended to be taught to non-rated personnel with little or no related
experience. Training includes physical fitness, leadership, first aid, and
underway operations for small boats (primarily 41-foot) including: basic
marlinespike seamanship, deck seamanship, underway operations, radio
communications, piloting and navigation, anchoring, firefighting and
dewatering, egress from capsized vessel, open water survival techniques,
aids to navigation, personnel rescue and evacuation, towing and assistance
operations. BOILER REPAIR TECH The purpose of this course is to provide
information and skills necessary to enable the boiler repair technician to
perform all corrective maintenance on the propulsion boiler. BORDER OBSERVATION Focus on the conduct of joint border observation
operations in Latin America. Training consists of a historical overview of
United Nations and other joint border observations missions, mission
planning, information gathering, and specific area analysis of the area to
be observed. Prior to the final operations order briefing conducted by the
students, they will be taught planning techniques in the areas of civil
affairs, air operations, liaison operations, logistics, and observation
post duties. Standard U.S. and UN Land navigation and map reading training
is conducted. Training in human rights and civilian control of the
government are interwoven within all pertinent classes and practical

final two days are spent at the Inter-American Defense College in

Comparative examples are drawn from the historical experience of western
Europe, colonial Africa, and the United States. The second lecture,
"Making Military Strategy in Democracies" builds on the first. This
presentation addresses the processes and constraints of making military
strategy in a democracy, stressing the importance of integrating military
strategy with national strategy, operational strategy, and battlefield
strategy. Both lectures stress the following themes: military
subordination and accountability to democratic government; the need for

the state; the need for shared values between the military and society to

Medical Advisor to the Commander Amphibious Task Force (CATF). CO GRADE OFF PROF DEV This course is designed to prepare Latin American
Company Grade officers to better understand their individual
responsibilities within the dynamics of leadership, officership, and force
interoperability. In addition, the course broadens appreciation for key
concepts regarding defense resource management, civilian control of the
military, military and civilian armed forces interoperability, military
justice, and human rights and dignity. Block I - Officership Values (46
hours) - Understanding USAF core values (service, integrity, patriotism,
tenacity, competence, and courage) which are indispensable to the
successful operation and subsequent employment of military forces.
Lectures, seminars, and group interaction are methods employed to explore
the concepts of officership values, analysis of leadership
characteristics, and practical application of values. Block II - Applying
Leadership Skills (48 hours) - Students apply new concepts and principles
learned during course seminars, readings, and lectures to new situations.
Leadership and decision-making scenarios and field campaigns are designed
to maximize intensity of learning. A practical exercise will test the
student ability to apply leadership principles in a simulated contingency
situation. Block III - Executive and Management Skills (82 hours) -
Students are shown the basic skills necessary to lead, supervise, and
communicate. Focus is on team building, applying leadership principles in
a one-to-one setting, and developing techniques for effective
communication. Block IV - Air Power Employment (25 hours) - Students study
history and doctrine, operations, and the future of air forces and air
power. Air Power Doctrine and History traces development and use of
airpower and how this relates to aerospace doctrine strategy. Operations
focuses on command and control and combat support. Future Roles sets the
stage for "critical thinking" regarding the application of air and space
power in the next century. Training is currently conducted in Spanish.
(Expanded IMET - Core Course). COLD WEATHER MEDICINE Provides medical department personnel with the
necessary knowledge and practical experience to effectively participate as
cold weather operations medical support personnel in a cold weather
mountainous environment. The course is designed to train students to be
technical advisors and to train troops and medical personnel within their
unit, and to provide medical support in a cold weather mountainous
environment. COLD WEATHER SURVIVAL CRS Provides training to personnel with an
aviation/ground combat MOS to survive in a cold weather environment as
individuals or as a group in a survival situation. This course of
instruction teaches aviation/ground combat MOS personnel necessary
survival techniques to prevail in a cold weather environment. A
classroom/academic setting and actual cold weather environment are used to
teach and practice expedient fires, expedient shelters, signaling devices,
food and water procurement, primitive tool and weapons construction,
navigation, and other survival techniques. Great emphasis is placed on
mental attitude as a key to survival. Students are placed in a high-stress
situation and survive together in groups and individually. Comprehension
of the psychological impact of group and individual survival and the
strengths and weaknesses associated with each are key class goals. COLLECTIVE TRAINING COLLINS VHF-20 RADIO This course is for the electronics technician who
has completed the Electronics Fundamentals and Avionics
Communications/Navigation Equipment courses or equivalents. It covers
system familiarization, inspection, operation, block diagram and schematic
diagram analysis, minimum performance and alignment. Training is currently
conducted in Spanish. COLOR PHOTO PROCESSES Prerequisites: Student must possess AFSC 3V052 or
equivalent. ECL 70. COM/CNTRL WARFARE N03L9M1 To provide a fundamental knowledge of the
strategy, concepts, major components, and associated methodologies of
Command and Control Warfare (C2W) which will enable the student to
successfully integrate C2W into the joint expeditionary environment. COMB AEROSPACE OPS SNR STF Provide overview of the planning, coordination,
integration, employment and implementation of air operations strategy in
joint operations. COMB LOG OFF ADV-M&M The munition materiel management instruction will
focus on specific munitions tasks required of AOC 91D officers. COMB LOG OFF ADV-ORDNANCE Ordnance branch specific training that is required
for the types of positions that they will be filling upon completion of
CLOAC. Includes maintenance and class IX management, wholesale logistics
overview, and technical department training. COMB STRAT INTEL TNG PRGM CSITP is designed to introduce military
intelligence officers from other countries to the United States�
perception and procedures relative to: 1) the purpose and major functions
of joint and combined intelligence activities and their major functions to
joint worldwide challenges posed to US national security; 2) the role of
the intelligence analyst and how to apply fundamental intelligence
research techniques and analytical methods; and 3) seminars on current
intelligence subjects of high interest. The program consists of three
courses, offered as a complete 11 week package for foreign military
intelligence officers in the ranks of O-1 to O-5: The Joint Intelligence
Course (2 wks) provides appreciation of intelligence activities at the
joint and combined levels; the Joint Intelligence Management Course (2
wks) provides management techniques and principles as applied to
intelligence resources, processes, and information; the Intelligence
Analyst Course (4 wks) provides training in research and analysis

engineering. COMBAT LOGISTICS Discusses the roles and responsibilities of the
logistics manager in war and in operations other than war (OOTW). Focuses
on how logistics contributes to war and OOTW efforts and introduces
students to combat logistics planning, strategies, and contingency
procedures that will likely be implemented in wartime and contingencies.
Subjects include logistics in wartime; lessons learned in recent
conflicts; analysis of overall combat environment; and current procedures
and concepts including depot surge, aircraft battle damage repair,
logistics command and control, prepositioning, and joint logistics support
concepts. Explores the interaction between planning for logistics support
and the JOPES deliberate planning and crisis action planning system.
Students complete a simulated force-planning process including
transportation feasibility estimates and shortfall resolution. Concludes
with an examination of near-term logistics systems and the logistics
environment of the future battlefield. COMBAT RBR RAID CRFT RPR Provides training to small craft operators in
immediate repair of outboard motors and rubber boats. This curriculum
includes lectures, demonstrations, and extensive practical application.

senior level professional military education for field grade officers of

orientation tour of the United States during which the students visit

activity and up-to-date information on the Navy, Marine and command
policies. COMMAND LEADERSHIP To reinforce the fundamental tenets of naval
leadership and provide an improved decision making foundation for officers
assuming the responsibilities of command. COMMANDO Training is oriented towards realistic and
strenuous field operations. Students develop leadership skills through

surfaces for corrosion removal, metal treatment and the application of

skills and tools necessary to develop courses, courseware, or instruction
with an introduction to the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) model.
The course works the student through the activities of the analyze,
design, develop, implement, and evaluate phases of the model. Students use
provided job aids and worksheets to: perform a task analysis, write
performance objectives, develop criterion referenced performance
assessments, develop instructional strategies and plans, develop effective
courseware/modules of instruction, and develop effective course evaluation
instruments. COXSWAIN C This course provides advanced training for
entry-level personnel and persons requiring initial or refresher training
boat operations. Specific areas of instruction include duties and
responsibilities of a coxswain, construction and design features of the
41-foot utility boat, twin-screw boat handling, advance navigational
techniques (including the use of GPS and radar in dead reckoning and
execution of search patterns, firefighting, dewatering, towing,
engineering casualty drills, and basic non-standard boat operations (twin
outboard). COXSWAIN SMALL BOAT This course provides training in key fundamental
tasks for qualification as a small boat coxswain. Extensive day and night
underway training will be conducted in environments in which utility boats
are designed to operate. The course is designed to familiarize the student
with small boat operations, specifically on the 41-foot utility boat. The
course material covers duties and responsibilities of a coxswain, deck
seamanship, navigation, towing, firefighting, and dewatering. CPO LEADERSHIP COURSE To provide advanced training and education in the

Officer. CREWMAN SMALL BOAT This course familiarizes the student with small
boat operations and provides training towards qualification as a boat
crewman on the 41-foot utility boat. The course material covers duties and
responsibilities of a crewmember, deck seamanship, retrieval of person(s)
from the water, towing, firefighting, dewatering, and survival. CROSS CULTURAL COMM. Designed to improve the communication and
problem-solving skills of DOD personnel engaged in training,
administration, or negotiation with foreign military personnel. CRYOGENICS PRODUCTION Course is conducted on one shift for 23 academic
days, 8 hours per day, and three shifts for 20 academic days, 24 hours per
day. Provides training for DoD personnel with AFSC 2F0X1 or equivalent, in
the knowledge and skills necessary for operation, inspection,
troubleshooting, and maintenance of the 1.0 and 1.5 T/D low pressure
cryogenic plants; and familiarization of 5 T/D low pressure cryogenic
plant components and sequence of operation, prior to being assigned to an
operational cryogenic production facility. Training is provided on the
principles of air separation and distillation that are unique to the 1.0,
1.5, and 5 T/D cryogenic plants: operating principles of the diesel
engine, electric motors, rotary screw air compressors, air purification
systems, air separation systems, vapor compression refrigeration,
turboexpanders, pneumatic components, gas storage cylinders, and cryogenic
pumps. Training is also included on product quality control equipment,

cryogenic production. CRYOTAINER MAINT/SPT EQUIP Trains Air Force personnel with AFSC 2F0X1 or
civilian equivalent in the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain
cryogenic storage vessels of 400 gallons or larger capacity. Includes the
application of safety practices, completion of forms and records, use of
technical orders, and the properties of cryogenic products. Training is
also included on components and functions of cryogenics and support
equipment, and the hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of cryotainers
and support equipment. This course is a prerequisite for the
J3AZR2F051-006, Cryogenic Production course. CURRENT WEATHER TECHNIQUES Training in the knowledge of the latest
meteorological and environmental developments, and of special forecasting
techniques. Training includes numerical weather prediction, air-sea
